Is there really no platform fee?
Correct. HopeWave does not charge a percentage of your donations. The only deduction is the standard payment processor fee (charged by the card network, not us).
What is the payment processing fee?
Our payment processor charges approximately 2.9% + $0.30 USD per successful transaction. The exact rate may vary by country, payment method, and currency. The exact fee is shown to the donor at checkout.
How do you keep the lights on if you charge 0%?
Donors can optionally add a tip to support the platform when they donate. We will also offer optional premium features for campaigns in the future, such as featured placement and advanced analytics.
Are there fees for withdrawing funds?
No additional withdrawal fee from HopeWave. Your bank may charge incoming transfer fees depending on your country.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Donations through HopeWave are typically not tax-deductible unless the campaign is run by a verified registered nonprofit. Tax-deductible nonprofit campaigns are coming as a separate program.
